I’ve always found joy in art—the kind you can hold close. From a young age, I was drawn to craft, especially the quiet magic of creating miniature pieces, where even the smallest detail felt meaningful. What began as a love for making soon turned into something more—an exploration of thread, texture, and tiny stories stitched into fabric.
The First Stitch
Not long after I started creating these embroidered pieces, a lovely coincidence unfolded. My mother, who is skilled at knitting, mentioned that both my grandmothers were talented in embroidery. Soon after, my aunt added that my paternal grandmother used to embroider children’s clothes and sell them to shops on Commercial Street in Bengaluru. It felt like discovering a hidden thread running through generations—a quiet inheritance of skill and creativity. I suppose you could say I received a double dose of embroidery in my genes.
